Sweet peas

Much better results growing using the cordon system - longer stems and better quality flowers:

  2. Hi Joan - it's the method competition growers use - not that I'll be doing any of that - basically it's just growing a single stem - there's a bit more about it on the previous post on the Sweet Peas label and a full explanation at http://www.sweetpeas.org.uk under How to Grow Sweet Peas.

  3. oh, we do that at the greenhouse for exhibition mums. I trimmed a couple hundred of those last week. Thanks! And I'm keeping the side branching off my tomatoes this year...due to space. Same idea I guess.
